What Our Partners Say

Francis’s parents say

I cannot say enough wonderful things about our son’s play therapist. (Randa) When we first began this journey, our son was refusing to eat. Being admitted into hospital for 10 days, (after a powerless struggle for nearly 7 months) and there being diagnosed with severe anxiety from food trauma (choked on a chip) with Francis on a drip for dehydration and malnutrition. Totally refusing to eat. As parents, we felt overwhelmed and literally desperate for support. From the very first session, Randa created a space where he felt safe.

Her ability to connect with him through play is nothing short of magic. We have watched him grow in confidence, communication and emotional regulation, in ways we didn’t think were possible. We committed to the process, with goals we didn’t ever think were reachable but something just clicked with him, after 3/4 sessions with Randa, Francis just began to chew his foods, understood the new boundaries we set for him and took full responsibility yes he fought back and resisted in some sessions but he knew Randa was patient and safe, and never let him go.

What makes her truly special is that she supported the whole family. I don’t think she even realises how much. And for that we will be forever grateful. She has taught us how to respond to Francis’s needs in ways that help him thrive. Randa has literally changed my whole perspective on being a fair parent and setting positive boundaries.

We are endlessly grateful for the impact she has had on Francis and feel it will help him massively in his development for the rest of his life! And that is a gift!

Ethan’s parents say

Since starting play therapy the changes in Ethan have been a joy to observe and I have been blow away by the changes in him.

I have seen a massive improvement in making his voice heard to express his needs and feelings. Before play therapy he would get very upset and find it very hard to express how he was feeling and often couldn’t find the words to use, not only he is able to express himself more but he has learnt to do this through other creative ways like drawings and feeling stones. Ethan is more confident in who he is, has grown in self esteem and I can really see him developing more into his own personality.

Thanks to his time with Randa and play therapy he is more confident in expressing who he is through the choices he makes and things he does and has also developed in his skills to confront others and to manage conflict.

Randa has been instrumental in my child’s well being and bringing the best out of him and enabling him to believe in himself, helping believe he is important and his thoughts and opinions matter .
I hope to be able to continue with her on this journey to help my son overcome his difficulties and become the best he can be.

Max’s parents say

Hi Randa, I can’t remember whether I said it enough times yesterday, but wanted to say a massive thank you for your time and energy supporting Max through the therapy sessions. It seems to have made a significant difference and I am very grateful. How lucky we are to have you and all of your staff, both on a day to day basis and especially for getting the benefit of your experience in ways such as this.
