For Schools
Play Therapy for Schools in Kent
We work with schools across Kent to provide early intervention emotional wellbeing support, helping pupils overcome barriers to learning. We have worked with independent, mainstream and Special schools covering Early Years, Primary and Secondary schools.
Children cannot always learn effectively when they are struggling emotionally. Play Therapy offers schools a powerful way to support pupils experiencing anxiety, behavioural difficulties, trauma, friendship challenges, low self- esteem, or family change. Through a safe and child-centered therapeutic approach, children are able to express feelings, process experiences, and build resilience leading to improved emotional wellbeing, engagement, behaviour and readiness to learn. By providing Play Therapy within school, settings can offer early intervention, strengthen pastoral support and help children thrive both emotionally and academically.

- The strengths and difficulties questionnaire (SDQ) is a short behavioural screening questionnaire for clients. The questionnaire is used to assess clients mental health, and it is best practice to be completed by clients, parents and teachers
- Objectives are completed in collaboration with the referrer which may be the school or parents. They are there to help focus on what we want the client to progress to and together with then SDQ scores they help support measuring the progress of the therapy sessions.
